Job Description
The AWS Cloud Engineer will build, deploy, manage, and administer cloud infrastructure designed to deliver complex software products in a production environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on Cloud engineering professional with significant experience in developing and deploying repeatable processes, tools, and cloud infrastructure. You'll work with clients, fellow engineers, and information assurance team members to inform strategy and architecture design in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
·Design and implement secure network solutions that meet customer requirements
·Assume a technical role in the administration and management of infrastructure solutions that are deployed in AWS in accordance with Security Guidelines
·Use AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) to deploy, troubleshoot and customize cloud resources
·Design, customize, and document services based on COTS products using Agile development approaches and methodologies
·Installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting applications and servers
·Performing operating system and software installation, testing, patching and upgrades
·Monitoring the health of internal environment and connections
·Research new technologies that are applicable to current projects and make recommendations to improve performance, optimize operations, and reduce costs
·Assist with technical designs and documentation
·Deploy Windows and Linux systems and maintain them throughout their lifecycle.
·Design, deploy, and maintain supporting systems for security and compliance.
Qualifications
Must be US Citizen
·Experience managing enterprise scale solutions that leverage the following AWS Services: EC2, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudFront, VPC, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, Beanstalk, Lambda, etc
·Knowledge of FedRAMP, ATO, and the implications of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and Assessment and Authorization (A&A)
·Experience with AWS networking, including VPC, Route Tables, and Security Groups
·Knowledge of AWS user, security, and networking configurations
·Experience with AWS Relational Database Service(RDS)
·Experience with AWS GovCloud
·Experience with active directory and group policy
·Familiarity with compliance standards (STIG, CIS, etc)
