The Associate Director of SEM is a critical role within the Digital Transformation organization. This position oversees the end-to-end SEM media operation, including creating and executing strategies, and in the preparation of budgets, reports, and media plans to deliver immediate results to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have 7 years of previous work in the field, possessing excellent verbal and written communications, and demonstrating an interest in advanced search.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
Work closely with greater team to plan, and deliver on overall campaign strategy and objectives
Measure performance of campaigns and translate data into reporting that is digestible and actionable
Oversee implementation of all media buys, ensuring all aspects (budget, creative, parameters, tracking, etc.) are built/setup as intended
Lead development of a data-driven strategy across the SEM ecosystem in order to further build and execute a digital testing roadmap across messaging, creative, audience, frequency and channel mix
Train junior team members on implementation and strategy of SEM buying
Keep abreast of industry trends through various sources, compiling thought leadership for the greater organization
Candidate will be tasked with translating the LG brand(s) into meaningful value propositions and benefits messages for all target audiences
Serve as lead in bringing disparate performance services together against one end goal
Report on paid media performance of buys across SEM tactics
Qualifications
Direct Response/E-commerce experience is a must, especially with high inventory feeds and DCO (D2C) (shopping/PLA/PMAX)
7 years of hands-on experience in the digital and SEM industry
An in-depth knowledge of the technologies and processes involved in running paid media campaigns, particularly Paid Search, including Search Ads 360 (SA360), Google Ads AND Microsoft Bing Search ads.
Desire to lead with strong communication skills and attention to detail
Understanding of full-funnel strategies and executions, with a clear view of the importance of each of the different stages of the consumer journey
Planning and forecasting experience
Record of developing media strategies - will be responsible for driving proposals, audience and creative strategies
Industry-recognized certifications for Google Ads, Search Ads 360, and Google Analytics
Deep knowledge of audience segmentation, 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data sources; can translate audience segments into targetable audience attributes within search/PMAX
Strong analytical skills: comfortable working with and presenting sophisticated metrics and analyzes up to the C-level
High level of organization with good sense of time management
Experience in Google’s Suite of Advertising Products is a plus
Capable of teaching/nurturing junior team in all things relevant to SEM
