A privately held Financial Services company located near Tomball, Texas is looking to hire an experienced and proven Controller to manage the Accounting and HR responsibilities and functions for the firm. This is an in person role in NW Houston.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manage monthly close processes & financial statement preparation for financial services entities

· Multi-entity payroll posting and intercompany accounts transfer requests

· Maintain books/oversee accounting for related entities

· Advise owners on external investments

· Handle all Human Resources activities and responsibilities for the company

· Prepare data for income tax returns

· Interact with outside tax compliance professionals

· Complete other reporting as needed

· Manage accounting staff

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

· 10 years of GAAP accounting experience

· Experience working in a Controller position

· Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and skill

· Strong organizational skills

· Strong interpersonal communication skills

Desired Skills:

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus

· Multi-entity accounting experience

· lntacct accounting software experience

· Database knowledge/SQL

· Income tax knowledge

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
