Functional Business Analyst

SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Functional Business Analyst based in Texas to join our team, working on integration and digital transformation projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in FinTech, possess exceptional communication skills, and have a proven track record of collaborating with clients to translate business needs into clear, actionable functional specifications. This is a remote role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with end clients to gather and document technical and business requirements for integration or digital transformation initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and work closely with development teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Act as a liaison between the technical team and the business, ensuring clear understanding and alignment of project goals.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and interviews with key stakeholders to identify opportunities, challenges, and requirements.
• Analyze and document current business processes, identify gaps, and propose improvements.
• Contribute to the creation of project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high-quality output.
• Stay updated on industry trends, particularly in the FinTech space, to provide strategic insights during the project lifecycle.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5 years of experience as a Functional Business Analyst, ideally in integration or digital transformation projects.
• Preferred experience in the FinTech industry, with a strong understanding of financial services and related technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience in gathering technical requirements, developing functional specifications, and facilitating smooth hand-offs to development teams.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, managing time and priorities while maintaining close collaboration with teams.
• Must be comfortable working in Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone.
• Experience with Agile or similar project management methodologies is a plus.
