Description
RESPONSIBILITIES: The function of the Dietary Aid is to perform all duties required to assist in serving/plating of food and loading of tray carts. Must keep kitchens neat, orderly, and sanitized.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Serve plates with 100% accuracy, according to the patient’s diet specifications.
- Gather supplies needed for meal service based on tally.
- Load trays or food onto tray carts and transport from the main kitchen to the Brittany Place.
- Efficiently set up, breakdown, and clean kitchen, associated equipment and areas. Record temperatures as required.
- Set up dining room tables with proper silverware and napkin fold.
- Maintain all standards of sanitation.
- Be able to set up, serve, and clean up by yourself.
- Responsible for reading and understanding menus and diets and serving food with accuracy.
- Provide excellent customer service to Residents and Staff.
- Communicate Resident needs and equipment problems to Food Service Supervisors/Managers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be motivated to provide high quality work. Must be able to take and follow directions. Must be able to stand on feet for work assignment. Must be able to carry, push and lift heavy items. Must be able to read, food service experience is helpful, but not required. Must read, speak and understand English.
