Our client is looking for a physical therapist to join a leading provider of acute inpatient rehabilitation services. They operate over 300 hospital-based rehabilitation units, along with medical/surgical and outpatient therapy settings. In addition, they have established more than 30 joint venture inpatient rehabilitation hospitals nationwide. The main priority of our client is to provide exceptional, patient-focused care to individuals who have suffered a loss of function caused by injury or illness.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize your skills in physical therapy to address areas of need - assess a patient's condition, devise a treatment plan, and support their progress on a daily basis. Additionally, you will provide guidance to the nursing staff and the patient's family on follow-up programs to further enhance the patient's improvement.
- Keep the supervisor and other team members informed of patient progress or challenges; assist with patient scheduling and accurately record charges in patient records on a daily basis.
- Document patient care in compliance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
- Train the patient's family or nursing staff on follow-up programs.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of equipment and work area.
- Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, relevant professional standards, and applicable state/federal laws.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Must have a degree from a Physical Therapy program accredited by an authoritative body
- Must possess a current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state where services will be provided
- Must have a valid CPR certification
- Excellent organizational and communication skills are required
