AccentCare is seeking a Chaplain to join our team of professionals. We make a difference every day to patients and families coping with end of life illness in creating a center of excellence in hospice care.
Overview
The Chaplain is responsible for assessing the spiritual and religious needs of patients and their families, arrange for the provision of spiritual and religious support in accordance with their wishes, and supporting families in the bereavement process.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a Council for Higher Education accredited college, university or divinity school is required; a graduate-level master's degree from a similarly accredited college, university or theological school preferred.
Ordained, credentialed, or commissioned according to the practices of a legitimate and recognized religious organization/faith tradition.
A minimum of one Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) unit, two or more, preferred. Equivalencies for CPE will be granted per established guidelines of individual professional organizations. Prior experience in hospice also preferred.
Minimum of one year supervised experience in a medical, educational or religious agency/institution.
Ability to provide an inter-faith approach to spiritual care demonstrating a high level of cultural and theological competence in working with diverse faith and belief systems.
CT: Minimum of three years' experience providing pastoral / spiritual care.
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, and teaching skills.
Computer skills: Word, email, patient database charting, internet, voicemail.
Must have a reliable automobile, valid driver's license, and the minimum state required liability auto insurance.
