The Junior Accountant will be responsible for carrying out transaction activities and updating financial records while providing quality service to internal and external clients.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Review and process daily transactions
Prepare journal entries
Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Full cycle of accounts payable
Credit Card reconciliations
Assist with process and software implementations
File tax forms with local, state, and federal agencies
Assist accounting team members and the Accounting Manager when necessary
Ensure all documentation is properly filed and maintained
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in general ledger accounting
Intermediate to advanced excel skills
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of GAAP
A team player with a growth mindset who is organized, dependable, and adaptable
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Working Conditions:
This is a hybrid role with work performed remotely as well as in an office and/or branch environment in the Greater Seattle area of Washington State.
Team members may attend special off-hour meetings and seminars.
The nature of work may include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
