What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Packer position at Seaway Bolt & Specials?
POSITION SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, is responsible for the packaging of finished goods to be shipped to our customers. Packages finished goods according to customer specifications.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Package parts for shipments to our customers including weighing parts, verifying shipping quantities and printing labels
- Operate ERP system Plex for daily operations
- Follow all processes and work instructions that pertain to the packaging area including bin cleaning and station cleaning to ensure we do not mix parts
- Make boxes as required
- Operate sit down and stand up lift trucks
- Other duties as assigned by the Material Coordinators and Logistics Manager
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting and transferring a variety of material weighing up to forty pounds.
