What you get to do:

Manage and lead the marketing team while representing SeaWorld San Antonio and Aquatica San Antonio. Engage and lead your team by example, experience, expertise to produce, expedite, and oversee marketing the parks and events and what it has to offer. Drive awareness, engagement, and revenue for the parks. You will:


  • Develop programs that grow consumer awareness and purchase of products in consumer direct channels.
  • Manage retail and annual pass promotions including return on investment analysis. Oversee departmental budgets.
  • Supervise and develop programs targeting ticket programs and retail promotions.
  • Reinforce the SEA brand by ensuring marketing collateral is developed in accordance with brand and advertising campaign guidelines.
  • Assist in managing in-park promotional programs, consumer events and corporate partnerships.
  • Responsible for managing outside consultants / agencies in support of promotional programs.
  • Model the Company culture and ensure that marketing initiatives align with the overall strategic direction of the Company.
  • Provide excellent service to guests and team members.
  • Assist in success of marketing department by assisting in other areas when needed.


What it takes to succeed:


  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Degree in Marketing or related field strongly preferred.
  • Must have 5 years of prior marketing or communications experience.
  • Must have 3 years of project management and/or supervisor experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a SEA driver’s license.
  • Prior theme park experiences preferred.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills in the English Language. Spanish speaking a plus.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook) and possess a high aptitude for other computer software systems. Knowledge or experience with computer-based reporting and input systems preferred.
  • Must have the ability to professionally interact with various levels of leadership. Strong presentation skills and ability to speak in groups a must.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Must be process and detail oriented as well as possess the ability to handle multiple projects with strict deadlines. Ability to work in high stress conditions and maintain confidential information appropriately.
  • Must be able to work independently and have flexibility to work successfully in a team environment when needed.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, weekdays, evenings, and holidays. Ability to travel when necessary.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays. Ability to travel if needed.
  • Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations
  • Must be willing to comply with and ensure team members comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
  • Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and proven ability to drive business development and outcomes using various digital marketing vehicles.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize diverse and complex projects while meeting stringent deadlines and seizing emerging opportunities.
  • Deep knowledge of the latest marketing, sales, media, entertainment, and interactive trends and have a proven ability to assess and report consumer trends.
  • Editorial mindset that understands the content audiences consume and how to create content that is consistent with the park/Company’s brand voice, style, and tone.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with an ability to adapt communication style to several different audiences.
  • Ability to work with various departments and within varying organizational structures to achieve park and Company goals.
  • Enthusiastic, confident change-agent, performer and team player with the ability and passion to work in a demanding and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze and present content and social performance.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a dynamic and demanding environment.
