Job Summary:
This position is responsible for network/server support, cyber security monitoring and remediation, responding to help desk requests, assisting office and warehouse staff with technical support of desktop and laptop computers, printers, phone systems, and related technology. Support includes installation and configuration of computer systems and printers within established standards and guidelines.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide end-user support for desktops, ,laptops, telephones, and software applications.
- Manage Technology Help Desk requests to establish service level agreements (SLAs).
- Provide support for all network equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, and WAN equipment.
- Provide support for handheld scan devices.
- Provide support for all print devices - multifunction copiers, laser printers, and label printers.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop, laptop, and tablet computers, peripheral equipment, and software within established standards and guidelines.
- Work with Technology team members and management as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from end users.
- Ensure desktop, laptop, and tablet computers interconnect seamlessly with systems including file servers, email servers, and application servers.
- Create training and support materials, train and support end users on the correct use of company systems.
- Perform software and hardware upgrades on systems.
- Track and update the movement of all Technology assets.
- Monitor cyber security systems and assist with remediation activity for all cyber security alerts.
- Support and exhibit established SecondLifeMac Corporate Values.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
Education and Experience:
- B.S. in Computer Science, related field, IT technical certifications, or equivalent work experience (including, but not limited to, IT Help Desk experience).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Visio.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service, teaching, and mentoring skills.
- Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, and read and understand printed materials.
- Able to work in a projects-based team environment, promoting positive work relationships with internal and external team members.
- Proficient in multi-tasking and managing multiple projects.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Flexible and can adapt to change.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be available from Monday to Friday (core hours 7AM-3:30PM).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
- Climbing ladders, working under tables, lifting less than 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $55,000-$70,000/annually
Expected hours: 40 per week
