POSITION TITLE:
IRA Services Analyst

REPORTS TO:
Retirement Services Manager
PURPOSE:
Responsible for the maintenance of IRA account records and beneficiary information.
Also, responsible for maintenance of information and tacking of responses from members regarding mandatory distributions.
Update 1099R reporting system to insure year end reporting records are accurate.
Assist branches with general questions regarding all deposit accounts.
DIMENSIONS:
Must possess a good understanding of IRA’s and the general laws that govern these accounts.
Must have basic knowledge of other deposit accounts to assist branches as needed.
DUTIES:
Maintenance and control of all incoming IRA packets.
Maintenance and control of all IRA Beneficiary forms.
Tracking of missing forms by contacting the branches.
Maintenance and tracking of new mandatory distribution information.
Answering member and branch phone inquiries.
Assisting with 1099R and 5498 corrections.
Assisting with mandatory distribution processing and PRJ corrections.
Keying IRA Multipurpose forms to update records and correct transactions
when needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have the ability to concentrate and refocus amidst many phone calls.
Basic math skills and good written and verbal communication skills are needed.
Willingness to work with others as a team.
Must adhere to the work schedule and attendance policy established by manager.
Must be able to speak English fluently.
Must be able to cooperate and collaborate with co-workers.
Must be cordial in all interactions with members and co-workers.
JOB ENVIRONMENT:
Office setting with physical proximity to other employees.
Some background noise from other employees, copy machine, and telephone.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions.
Job requires a substantial amount of sitting.
Use hands and fingers to press keys on a computer keyboard to enter or retrieve information.
Use hands and fingers to press telephone key pad and lift telephone receiver.
Must be able to comprehend phone calls.
Must be able to lift 5 pounds.
