What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at Secure Recycling?
Hey everyone! Secure Recycling is looking for a new member to join our growing team! Seeking a motivated, productive, and success driven Accounting Clerk! Minimum of 1 year of related experience is required.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Accounts payable data entry and processing of approved payments
- Process vendor payments in QuickBooks
- Copy, collating, and document scanning and file saving
- Input vendor invoices into the system and QuickBooks
- Set up new customers in QuickBooks
- Fill out supplier set up forms
- Input sales into QuickBooks
- Invoicing Customer
- Verify accuracy of invoices including weights and prices
- Ensure all loads are invoiced timely, accurately, and completely
- Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
- Follow up on past due invoices
- Follow up with customers to retrieve needed information for billing
- Communicate with vendors regarding purchases, payments, and questions
- Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner
- Process on-line payments for certain vendors
- Cash Management
- Deposit customer checks and update QuickBooks for cash receipts\
- Reconcile credit card statements to QuickBooks
- Match up sales with the appropriate inventory for commissions
- Update daily cash sheet and reconcile bank to QuickBooks
- Enter data and maintain records
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage
- Ensure strict confidentiality and security related to financial files
- Assure discreet handling of all business
- Performing related clerical work such as typing, filing, and sorting mail distribution
- Operate computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software
- Answering, assisting, and directing all incoming telephone calls and guests to appropriate parties in a professional and courteous manner

Excellent multi-tasking and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple projects
Able to work under limited supervision, dependable, and shows initiative
Special Projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting or related field required
(3) years of related experience required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, including Excel, required
Good oral and written communication skills

Hours: Flexible, see below
4-day work week:
- 7am to 5pm
- Must work Monday and Friday
5-day work week:
-8 am to 5pm
or
-Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 7am to 5pm. Tuesday and Thursday 7am to noon
Overtime Hours Available!
Salary: $55,000-$65,000 Based on Experience
