What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at SEEConline?
SEEC is looking for a progressive Registered Nurse to join our Nursing and Wellness team. The Registered Nurse provides DDA’s Nursing Support Services to people in SEEC’s programs. These services include nursing assessments, plan of care, case management and assessments and clinical documentation. The delegating RN also provides consulting, training, and guidance to people supported and their direct support staff. In addition, the RN will work in coordination with SEEC’s wellness initiatives, which include holistic health best practices and self-advocacy. He/She also attends support meetings related to a person’s care.
General Responsibilities:
People Supported:
- Conduct Nursing Assessments
- Review and reconcile medication on an ongoing basis
- Participate in inter-departmental Team meetings
- Conduct HRST Updates and Reviews
- Participate in Hospital/discharge planning meetings with the team

Workforce: *
- Work collaboratively with the team. Communicate regularly regarding ongoing nursing assessments
- Delegate appropriate nursing functions according to regulations.
- Provide staff training in the following areas: First Aid, CPR, Universal Precautions, MTTP certification training, training on Nursing Plans of Care, individual-specific training, and health and wellness needs and supports related to supporting people with disabilities in relations to the best practices.

Administrative: *
- Maintain certifications and license, and complete all trainings as required by the Maryland Board of Nursing, Maryland Department of Health, and the Developmental Disabilities Administration
- Maintain a professional working relationship with other SEEC staff.
- Act as liaison to pharmacy, medical supply companies, etc. in conjunction with program staff.
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices in the fields of disabilities and medicine through continuing education and reading pertinent literature.
