Maintenance Technician

Come join the Seegars Fence team in Goldsboro, NC. Here we fabricate gates, make custom metal fabrications, top wood, and powder coat materials. We do this to serve the installation teams in North and South Carolina.

We are looking for a energetic person who is eager to take on any task pertaining to fixing or maintaining industrial machines. We have been constantly growing over the last 70 years and look forward to continuing that trend.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Must have computer skills in MS Office and Internet and Email.
• High School Graduate or GED.
• Be mechanically inclined, with a good working knowledge of electricity, electric motors and gas motors.
• Have basic plumbing and carpentry skills
• Be able to work well in a team environment where situations and demands change daily.
• Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous manual labor required.
• Must have experience operating a forklift. Other heavy construction equipment experience is a plus.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must have a positive can-do attitude daily.
• Demonstrate the Seegars Fence Company Core Values daily.
• Must maintain First Aid, CPR, safety and forklift certifications (and others required for equipment operation)
• Has ability to trouble shoot electrical problems.
• Can trouble shoot control panel problems.
• Responsible for maintaining all equipment in the Goldsboro facility including welding equipment, saws, ironworkers, punches, presses, overhead cranes, and other various equipment utilized.
• Performs several types of preventive maintenance on common equipment found in industrial work sites.
• Perform visual inspections of the facility and equipment.
• Constantly observes the various processes and seeks improvement in both safety and efficiency.
• Maintain the lighting on vehicles and trailers.
• Shall dress appropriately with SFC uniform or T Shirt.
• Is responsible for arriving to work on time, prepared to start immediately.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and record the meets SFC insurance standards for driving company vehicles.
• Every applicant must undergo pre-employment background check and drug screen. If hired, Updates are required annually.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
