The Role & The Team

You will join the Seer Production Operations team focused on executing production and fulfillment operations of a nanotechnology product that enables a new to the world capability to understand the proteome. We believe that unbiased, deep, rapid, large-scale proteomics can, and must, become accessible to the broad scientific community so that we may significantly advance our understanding of biology, health, and disease. The team is composed of scientists, engineers, and associates doing novel research and development, which, when combined with efforts in Assay, Mass Spectrometry, and Data Science across the company create our core technology. In your capacity as Manufacturing Technician reporting to the Sr. Manager, Production Operations, you will work with Technical Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Commercial, and Product Development to produce and deliver products to the market.

To bring our product to the market you will execute production and fulfillment operations for our 3800 Bridge Parkway location. To do so you will help build out a production operation system to support Seer's growing market presence. You will improve and execute production procurement, QC, packaging, and logistics of assay kits and hardware.

This role is based on site in our Redwood City facility.

Job Description Summary

As a member of the Production Operations team, the Manufacturing Technician will perform duties as assigned to support our production operations.

  • Provides operational support including materials stocking, kit preparation, reagent preparation, kit assembly, cleaning activities, incoming inspection of materials.
  • Ensures timely system transactions of materials into and out of inventory.
  • Cycle counting of inventory to ensure accuracy of stocked materials.
  • Understands and comply with quality and EHS standards and requirements as documented.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Completes recording of data to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Works on routine assignments per written procedures, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
  • Participate in safety audits as required and actively engage in daily safety discussions/observations.
  • Perform routine maintenance of packaging station and lab equipment.
  • Monitor critical infrastructure and respond to equipment alarms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Candidates must bring a strong work ethic along with teamwork skills and an absolute commitment to competing with the highest level of integrity. Key requirements include:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of industry work experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with good manufacturing and documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with computers and various software for general business functionality.
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible work schedule including static or rotating shifts and overtime as required.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

  • Be able to operate a computer & equipment as well as move and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Wear protective equipment including a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
