SeeScan is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our DeepSea Oceanographic Products team.
This position offers a flexible schedule with the possibility of some remote work.

In this position, you will
- Be a member of a multi-disciplinary team supporting multiple product development and sustaining engineering projects
- Develop new electronic designs supporting oceanographic imaging and lighting products
- Define design performance requirements and perform qualification testing
- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers on new product design projects
- Support manufacturing and sustaining
- Identify, analyze and isolate problems on both system-wide and board level scales
- Contribute to some or all of the following:
- Schematic capture and PCB layout
- Power supply design
- High speed digital electronics
- Embedded computing
- Sensing and instrumentation

Desired skills
This is a hands-on role that requires effective and efficient troubleshooting skills, creative problem solving, and a genuine sense of curiosity. We look for people with broad experience and interest with a solid grasp of the fundamentals in their field. We are searching for new team members with talents in any of the following areas and tools or who are motivated to grow their capabilities:
- Schematic capture and PCB layout design (Altium experience preferred)
- Tool suites such as LTSpice, HyperLynx, Python and/or Matlab
- PCB level troubleshooting
- System design
- Electronic design validation
- C/C
- Power supplies
- High speed electronics
- Imaging technologies
- Electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and network analyzers
- Project management and collaboration tools like GitLab and Mattermost
Your background
- 2-5 years minimum experience in an electronic design and test role
- BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering or similar with relevant experience
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $150,000 annually.
This range represents a good faith estimate based on the qualifications we expect to find in a successful candidate. Actual compensation offered may be less or greater than this estimate based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, our assessment of your ability to bring value to our organization.
