What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wealth Platform DBA position at Sei?

SEI has created the SEI Wealth Platform to facilitate the wealth management and investment processing needs of our clients worldwide. The scope of the platform is comprehensive and includes client relationship management, investment management, portfolio accounting, transaction initiation, order management, trade execution, clearing, currency and foreign exchange processing, corporate actions processing, reconciliation, financial (reference) data management, financial planning, portfolio management, reporting and operational workflow.
What you'll do:
Work with a dedicated team of professionals across multiple technical competencies in an SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) model to support and enhance the application database operations of SEI’s Global Wealth Platform.
Understand and apply advanced database administration, management and performance tuning techniques
Provide advanced technical troubleshooting for applications and database systems with emphasis on root cause analysis
Configure and tune hardware and software to insure optimum performance and resource utilization
Develop advanced shell scripts, SQL and PL/SQL scripts in support of database operations
Monitor Exadata Real Application Clusters (RAC) both on-prem and on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Tune SQL statements using advanced profiling techniques, and guide developers in writing more performant queries.
Work in fast paced, constantly changing environment managing multiple environments and concurrent tasks
Mentor other DBAs (employees and contractors) to help increase their effectiveness.
What you bring to the table :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, and/or equivalent, relevant work experience
A minimum of 10 years of experience with Oracle 10g/11g/19c databases, strong RAC/clustering experience, OEM, CDC, RMAN, Oracle Grid and Data Guard experience required.
Recent experience with Exadata RAC clusters with High Availability architectures, including deployment of Exa clusters in an Oracle Cloud (OCI) environment.
Experience with Oracle replication technologies like GoldenGate, Big Data Adaptor, and Dataguard.
Strong troubleshooting/performance tuning skills required. Must be able to improve SQL performance results through use of hints or outlines. Ability to diagnose problems and triage/resolve issues across various tiers (application, network, database, server, or storage tiers).
High degree of skill with database commands and utilities such as exp, imp, sql loader, expdp, impdp, etc.
Ability to implement automation to reduce manual administrative tasks through use of jobs, shell scripts, PL/SQL, cron job, or other techniques
Proficiency in UNIX and shell scripts.
DevOps experience with DB tools and technologies related to automation, environment builds, code deployment etc.
Oracle Recovery with Archiving, Oracle Export and Import Utilities
Experience with replication via Golden Gate and Data Guard. Ability to learn Oracle’s Big Data Adaptor (BDA).
Very good knowledge on Oracle memory structures and dictionary tables
Provides input regarding technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.
Provide user support by investigating issues/problems, enforcing standards, and answering inquiries
Preferred Qualifications:
GoldenGate19c upgrade experience is a plus.
Exadata experience is a plus
