SeKON is looking for a HealthInformatics Specialist to join our talented and innovative team supporting the Defense Healthcare Management Systems (DHMS). This position will be remote for the foreseeable future due to COVID-19. The mission lifecycle of DHMS is to competitively acquire test, deliver and successfully transition to a state-of-the-market electronic health record (EHR) system.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works as a senior member in the DHMSM Systems Engineering Team supporting the government systems interface Lead.
Provide technical support and oversight for multiple system interfaces including the Readiness and Health Surveillance systems, electronic health record (clinical), FDA Certified Medical Devices (LAB/RAD/PHARM) and DEERS systems.
Provide MHS GENESIS and legacy system in data workflow, data interchange, and process automation to increase patient outcomes via clinical decision support.
Participate in technical reviews with Joint Change Control Boards.
Review, analyze, and provide consulting support for internal and third-party Interface Control Documents (ICD).
Experience with IT service processes and best practices including support acceptance, triage, resolution and escalation processes and tools.
Work within DoD Cyber guidelines and understand their impact on IT service use and methods for introducing changes.
Ready to work with senior industry and government leaders with superior verbal and written communication and customer service skills including presenting to senior government officials.
Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with customers and program office members in a multi-vendor environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Health Informatics Nurse Specialist with prior Military Health experience
Expertise in HL7, FIHR, and Interface Control Documents development/review.
System interface experience in Federal and DoD Healthcare IT and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems preferably the Cerner Millennium solution suite
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Bachelors’ Degree preferred, but not required in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Direct experience in a lead role extracting and resolving Enterprise Customer needs across multiple stakeholders and internally working with Contracts, Legal and Cyber Leads to clear the path to rapid delivery.
Hands on experience providing direct support across multiple programs, stakeholders, and enterprises.
Self-starter with experience leading solutions across disparate teams and managing processes.
Must be focused with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to work multiple projects concurrently within deadlines while ensuring that incoming and assigned ad-hoc workloads are maintained in a clear, accurate, and concise manner under normal and in crisis situations.
