Summary
Provides quality and timely processing of all incoming, outgoing, and interoffice mail. Oversees and directs all mailroom functions in the absence of the Manager and Lead Mail Clerk. Assists all mailroom clerks in their training and development.
All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions
- Opens, sorts, and prepares incoming mail for distribution throughout the company.
- Makes regularly scheduled mail cart deliveries across all buildings.
- Sorts, packs, and prepares outbound mail for agents.
- Prints and sorts checks for Billing, Claims, and Accounts Payable teams.
- Operates postage and inserting machines, and the UPS Campus ship processing workstation.
- Processes all USPS and United Parcel Service reports for daily and monthly usage.
- Acts as in-house and external courier to and from the Branchville United States Post Office.
- Packs and prepares all special mailings for postage and delivery.
- Uses the PC workstation, CICS AGT5 transaction to access the online agent file information needed for mailroom use.
- Monitors workflows to ensure all work processes are operational through the department.
Knowledge & Requirements
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling mail and packages.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle high-volume periods.
Education & Experience
- HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2 years’ experience working in a mailroom environment.
Salary Range: $35,800- $58,800. The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include the candidate's qualifications and experience.
