School Office Assistant
Self Development Academy - Mesa - Mesa, AZ
SDA is seeking a multi-talented, ambitious self-starter to join one of the top schools in the country (#2 in Arizona and #3 in America)! Must assist with a range of duties: office inventory, manning front office, even tutoring.
Experience and Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required. A college education is preferred.
- Three or more years of similar or related experience. Prior experience working in a school environment is highly preferred.
- Must be able to understand and talk in English and Spanish.
- Must have a valid finger print card.
Front Office Duties
- Help new employees get acquainted with school philosophy.
- When requested type memos and letters for school.
- Answers phones and have a pleasant personality and a positive attitude.

- Help with account receivables and school a paperwork.
- Coordinate placing supply orders for school/staff as needed.
- Perform necessary chores as requested by management.
- Assist children with minor ailments minor scratches, medication and determine if isolation is needed.
- Inform management of all school related issues
Classroom and other Learning needs
- Provides classroom coverage for teaching staff when needed, including breaks and absences. Also assist with playground activities if needed.
- Provides a safe, clean, attractive & nurturing environment conducive to learning.
- Provides feedback to Principal regarding informal and formal observations of staff.
- At the direction of the Management coordinate resolution of minor behavioral problems.
Enrollment and Parent Outreach
- Understand and implement strategies for retaining and generating enrollment.
- Develop a customer friendly relationships with parents and new clients.
- Suggest ideas based on school interaction with parents to increase enrollment.
- Review school website and check is school information is updated. Suggest any corrections if needed.
Education and Experience: High school or equivalent.
Required License or Certification: AZ Finger Printing Card
Required Language: Spanish and English
Salary: Very competitive salary that is commensurate with experience. We also offer retirement and health insurance benefits, and paid time off.
Hours: Full-Time. Normal hours are:
Mesa: 7:15 AM - 3:45 PM Monday through Friday.
Phoenix: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday through Friday
