We are the leading provider of Self Storage third party management services. Our talented professional employees work in storage facility locations in five different states with our corporate headquarters in Arizona. We are united with the common goal of helping our facility owners build value in their Self Storage portfolio. We are currently seeking a part time Accounts Payable Clerk to work in our corporate office located in Mesa, AZ.
Who will you be:
The Accounts Payable Clerk ensures processing of vendor payments are completed in a manner that promotes efficiency, accuracy and professionalism. Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. Check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded.
What you will do:
Operates computers programmed with accounting software to record, store and analyze information.
Checks incoming documents for accuracy, duplication and legitimacy, then ensures correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
May record journal entries for items related to credit memos.
May receive and record checks and vouchers.
Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.
Notes and reports discrepancies found in records to staff accountant or controller for follow up.
Process, mail and track invoices and payments made via ACH, Autopay, check and credit card in a timely and accurate manner according to company procedures.
Work with staff accountant and controller to prepare information as required for preparation of monthly billing, financial reports and annual audit.
Maintain the filing system for the department.
Work with vendors to change over service, obtain bids and contracts, and other routine vendor relations items.
Work with insurance companies regarding insurance claims.
Assist with additional accounting department duties as needed.
What you will need:
Strong interest in accounting, extremely analytical, and must be a fast learner
- Proficiency Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Proficiency in Quickbooks a plus
- Ability to handle fiscal information with sensitivity and integrity
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines while multi-tasking
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Data Entry experience required, accounting data entry a plus
- ADP Workforce now a plus
- Be detailed oriented and energetic
Schedule
Monday - Friday: Part-Time (Can be discussed during Interview)
Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
