What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Architect position at Self-Storage Consulting Group LLC?
SS Developments a division of Self Storage Consulting Group (SSCG) a lead provider of self storage third party management and development has an exciting opportunity for a full time Architect at our Corporate office in Mesa AZ.
Functions:
- Preparing detailed drawings showing both the appearance and interior structure of a building project
- Visiting building worksites to ensure work is being done according to architectural plans
- Developing and giving presentations to inform the public about upcoming building projects
Qualifications:
- Ability to work with architectural software to create building plans
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to large groups
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Willing and able to obtain California registration
Work Environment
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and large-scale printers.
Physical Demands
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully preform the essential functions of this job: Ability to navigate safely through construction site obstacles such as: Trenches, roof hatches, enclosed spaces, and high ladders as necessary.
Educational Requirements:
- Microsoft Office: Intermediate
- Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Revit
- Master Degree in Architecture required
