The responsibility of the Instructional Designer is to analyze and fix disconnections between job performance, job tasks and build Medicaid knowledge. The learning system integrates more and more technology and social media tools, and they help make the transition to more interactive programs easier and streamlined.
Responsibilities/Duties
- In partnership with the Associate Director, you will develop and create training based on feedback from the employees in the firm and Subject Matter Expert (SME)
- You will leverage the ADDIE/SAM instructional design framework to design effective learning solutions which are learner-centered, organized, accurate, relevant, and engaging
- Working with SME's, you will leverage a variety of learning development tools to develop and deliver training that utilizes a blended learning approach, including instructor-led, Web-based, and e-learning
- You will also maintain, update, improve and deliver existing content as needed in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Define and document learning objectives.
- Conduct research and collaborate with subject experts.
- Create instructional material: courses, curriculum, job aids, or training manuals.
- Design content to optimize learning.
- Generate the layout of the learning supports.
- Redesign content to ensure it matches the learner’s needs.
- Create visual, audio, and interactive learning tools.
Required Qualifications
Education and Work Experience:
- BA/BS degree from an accredited University/College
- 5 years of experience designing and delivering Web-based training in a corporate environment
- 2 years of experience working in an instructional design or curriculum developer role
Skills:
- Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
- Understanding legal language and principles, research methods, processes, and other related matters.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration, and listening skills and drives for results individually and in a team setting
- Experience in building engaging blended learning programs and tools
- Intermediate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to engage stakeholders and SMEs in analyzing training needs
- Able to provide work samples
