Seminole Classic Casino pioneered Indian gaming when it opened as the country’s first large stakes bingo hall in 1979, eventually expanding with gaming machines and poker. The landmark casino is now home to over 1,000 state-of-the-art, newest-title slot machines and other local favorites such as Diamond Lottos, Fort Knox, Pirate’s Loot. The gaming leader also offers 24/7 live table game action with games including Blackjack, Baccarat, Spanish 21, Three Card Poker and many more. Seminole Classic Casino also features the Hollywood Hall entertainment pavilion and the Stage Bar, a full-service bar that features live entertainment nightly. Maintains relationship with targeted guests through personal contact in order to generate incremental gaming revenues.
Essential Job Functions
May include but are not limited to:
- Maintains relationships and markets our gaming product and amenities to valued guests.
- Greets guests in the casino and participates in social events and special promotions.
- Tracks guest’s visits, arranges accommodations and provides complimentaries according to established guidelines.
- Issues Player’s Club cards and promotes the program and related promotions.
- Increases the growth of gaming revenues through development of a targeted guest base.
- Updates guest history for future visits. Ensures the protection of customer’s rewards and credit lines.
- Effectively handles customer complaints and discrepancies in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Provides special services to include food, beverage, transportation, cross-property events and Player’s Club programs.
- Achieves quotas provided by management for room goals, new card sign-ups, events, entertainment, etc…
- Assists in the development of incentive programs, host goals, special events and marketing programs.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all electronic gaming machines, player tracking systems, promotions, events, entertainment and general property information.
- Keeps informed of competitive promotions.
- Safeguards the confidential nature of all departmental and company records.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Five (5) years of casino host experience and three (3) years of casino market experience in Florida required.
- Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Marketing preferred.
- Must be computer literate. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills, tact and judgment, high moral integrity and strong work ethic.
- Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures.
- Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.
- Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, team building and problem solving skills required.
- Must have the ability to resolve stressful situations.
- Must be able to make sound complimentary decisions based on tracked customer play.
- Must be self motivated and able to work under pressure, handle situations in a timely manner, and work independently.

- Ability to read and understand all Seminole Tribe of Florida policies and procedures.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
- Must be able to complete standard Seminole Tribe of Florida forms and reports.
- Must be able to speak to the general public and/or groups of individuals.
- Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
- Ability to function and manage in non-standard situations where independent judgment is required and limited guidelines exist.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a smoking environment
- Must be able and willing to work any shift and long hours when necessary to include working evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to continuously maneuver around the office and property, often standing for long hours.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds and able to bend, reach and stoop on a limited basis.
- Duties and responsibilities are typically performed on the Casino Floor with constant exposure to general public.
Closing:
The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
As part of Seminole Gaming’s employment process, final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to an offer being extended. These background checks may include, but are not limited to:
