What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plumbing Technician (Commercial) position at SEMP?
Description
The Plumbing Technician will troubleshoot, repair and install various commercial plumbing fixtures, valves and pumps within a commercial environment. Work schedules are Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly customer service to clients with professional conduct
- Install, repair or replace plumbing fixtures, waste, vent or fresh water pipes
- Working knowledge of grease traps and interceptors
- Troubleshoot common plumbing issues on pumps, fixtures and waste lines
- Operate various sizes of cables and/or hydro-jets to clean drain lines
- Diagnose and unclog drains with the proper cable equipment
- Submit paperwork with the details of the work provided after each service appointment
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support the operations of the department
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive commercial plumbing experience and responsibilities
- Valid driver license with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and a motor vehicle background check
- Cell phone literate with the ability to communicate to management by email, phone calls or text messages
- English literacy skills
- Available to work a Saturday or Sunday as part of your regular work schedule
