SENB Bank is currently looking for a Full-Time Commercial Loan Officer to join our team. If you have 1-5 years’ experience as a lender or credit analyst and enjoy helping customers to fulfill their financial goals, this position is for you!
You will be responsible for developing new business, structuring, and closing of commercial loans. The Commercial Loan Officer will maintain and service newly developed relationships as well as an assigned commercial loan portfolio. Lender will assist in underwriting. The individual will be proficient in identifying and cross-selling other bank products and services. Represent the bank at community events or activities to establish and maintain strong community relationships and Bank visibility. Embody the SENB brand – “Smart. Easy. Notably Better.”

Job Responsibilities:
-- Responsible for developing new business.
-- Meet calling goals, conduct follow-up calls and maintain well-documented logs of marketing efforts.
-- Represent and promote the brand – “Smart. Easy. Notably Better.” with every transaction and interaction both internally and externally.
-- Cross-sells all bank products and services.
-- Participates in loan and sales meetings.
-- Manage assigned customer relationships for retention and increasing the customers’ financial business with the bank.
-- Collects and analyzes information that reflects the credit worthiness of customers/prospects and the merits of new loan opportunities.
-- Ability to negotiate terms and structure loan financing based on risk considerations.
-- Advise customers, as needed, concerning financial matters.
-- Manage delinquency and credit risk.
-- Resolve customer problems and act as liaison with other departments of the Bank.
-- Review loan agreements and other documents to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policies.
-- Make decisions on loans within any assigned lending authority or present loans to senior lenders, Loan Committee or the Board of Directors.
-- Maintain current familiarity with all applicable laws and regulations along with all lending related policies.
-- Attend seminars and training as appropriate to assigned lending responsibilities.
-- Participate in community affairs to increase the bank’s visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
-- Must maintain a level of professionalism including attire, attitude, time management, and securing confidential information.
Qualifications:
-- Must be self-motivated and manage time and workflow effectively.
-- Applicant must be able to exercise good judgment in establishing and maintaining working relationships, solve problems, and be able to deliver a high level of accuracy, focus and timeliness with limited supervision.
-- Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, contracts, credit, and financial documents as well as other legal documents.
-- Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities as well as an understanding of credit underwriting and loan documentation.
-- Ability to present, sell and service bank products and services as well as demonstrate professional knowledge of commercial lending.
-- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-- 1-5 years of lending experience preferred.
-- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
-- Solid history with a commercial loan portfolio, credit analyst or equivalent financial experience.
-- Working knowledge of rules and regulations associated with commercial lending and banking in general.
-- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Programs/Products.
