Sendbird is looking for a passionate Head of Content who can build our content marketing program, drive growth in organic traffic to our blog and website, define & execute our SEO strategy, and help tell the Sendbird story. This role requires outstanding skills in cross-functional collaboration, clear, action-oriented communication and an ability to influence without authority. In this position, you will not only partner closely with functional teams within marketing but also work across customer success, product management, and sales. You will also continually liaise with and present to the executive leadership. What you will do

  • Manage the content strategy and calendar to grow our readership and brand awareness
  • Work with freelancers and agencies to build our writing capacity to produce Web pages, blogs, ebooks, infographics, and social posts that meet SEO, thought leadership, and paid campaign needs
  • Drive keyword strategy and establish SEO framework to deliver high-quality traffic in our target markets and define and track to organic traffic goals
  • Lead execution on the content creation and content marketing fronts, measure the results, and continuously optimize the program to directly impact pipeline generation
  • Work with internal and external experts to source material including technical and developer-facing content. Developer-facing content experience not required but a plus
  • Work closely with the demand generation team to ensure we are maximizing distribution and reach of our content assets
  • Publish Sendbird's style guide to ensure we present a consistent brand voice.

What you bring to the table

  • 7 years of relevant work experience in SEO, content marketing, or other relevant fields
  • Experience in building content marketing in a B2C or B2B technology company
  • Experience managing a team of internal or external writers
  • Experience in B2B marketing
  • Experience writing for technical personas (helpful, but not required)

Pay Transparency

For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location. To determine our ranges, we utilize a variety of compensation data benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role is $200,000 - $245,000. This range is specific to the San Francisco Bay market. We consider several factors when making final compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs which may cause your specific offer to vary from the amount listed above.

Flexible Work Policy

We offer a flexible work schedule at Sendbird. We also value collaboration and relationship building. With those values in mind, we require for all employees within an hour commute range of their local office to gather with their team in office once per week as a minimum. Some of our roles require a more frequent in-office schedule. Please work with your manager to understand the office time requirements for your position.
