Senior Environmental Planner to lead CEQA and NEPA analysis projects.  Position will include analysis and preparation of CEQA and NEPA documents.  Position will work with staff in Tetra Tech’s Santa Barbara office and a variety of other offices throughout the United States.

Your Role :

Responsibilities will include preparing CEQA documents and technical studies; preparing notices and filing; public meeting support; and business development. The successful candidate will be a strong technical writer that can analyze a variety of resource topics in compliance with CEQA; assist in the preparation of proposals; have strong communication skills; and is comfortable working on multiple projects and leading tasks as needed. 

Qualifications :

•    Bachelor’s degree in applicable field (land use planning, environmental science, or a closely related discipline). 
•    Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional work experience, including at least 5 years of direct experience preparing CEQA documents. 
•    Experience with leading environmental tasks and being the primary author of CEQA documents.  
•    Working knowledge of federal, California, and local environmental legislation for regulatory compliance/permitting.
•    Experience with project management, technical report and proposal writing, data analysis and client business development.
•    Excellent communication and computer skills.
•    Experience preparing NEPA documents is beneficial but not required.
•    Experience supporting Department of Defense (DOD) environmental programs and California school district (K-12) and City/County environmental planning projects is preferred.
