Senior Housing Options, Inc., a non-profit organization, is looking for an experienced Human Resources Director to ensure that all human resource operations are carried out smoothly and effectively. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound advice to senior management on all related subjects.
An HR Director must be an experienced professional with a thorough knowledge of all matters concerning the HR department. The ideal candidate should be able to manage programs and lead staff while also possessing a strong strategic mindset.
The goal is to ensure that all HR needs of the company are being met and are aligned with the mission of the organization and all business objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Coaching and providing guidance and training
- Manages and facilitates performance management process.
- Reviews and makes recommendations to directors for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.
- Maintains responsibility for compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
- Maintains compliance with company’s 403B plan.
- Assists Chief Executive Officer and director’s team in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.
- Administers annual employee engagement survey, analyzes results, issues results report to leadership and employees, and develops action plans to address any opportunities identified.
- Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development for the organization.
- Manages the onboarding process for new employees, including development, updating, and assignment of coursework in Learning Management System and tracking of completion records needed for compliance requirements.
- Develops and maintains a human resource information system, including payroll, employee files and required documents.
- Responsible for and manages payroll, benefits, and employee files, ensuring all employee files meet compliance requirements.
- Designs, maintains, and evaluates job descriptions and compensation ranges and benchmarking using trusted and relevant data sources.
- Responsible for and manages all workers’ compensation claims.
- Represents the company for any unemployment claims.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience as HR Director
- Full understanding of the way an organization operates to meet its objectives.
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
- Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices
- A business acumen partnered with attention to the human element.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Diligent and firm with high ethical standards
- Commitment to fulfilling the mission of Senior Housing Options, Inc. to provide residential communities and caring services to enrich the lives of older adults in Colorado.
- Experience in the field of aging services preferred.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently, and communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level.
- SPHR, PHR, SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential preferred.
- BSc/BA in human resources, business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA in human resources will be a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $88,000.00 - $112,000.00 per year

- 10 hour shift
