Job Description
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant within our esteemed North Carolina communities, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional clinical care standards are upheld. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of clinical duties including resident assessments, infection control training, and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will serve as a leader in staff education and competency validation, ensuring that our team is well-equipped to deliver exemplary care to our residents.
Clinical Oversight:
- Implement and monitor infection control practices to foster a healthy environment.
- Conduct thorough resident assessments
- Perform medication pass observations in adherence to regulatory standards.
- Validate competency for all care staff involved in resident care.
- Administer and interpret tuberculin skin testing as mandated.
- Provide ongoing oversight and certification for medication aide training, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Monitor completion of E-learning modules and other training requirements for staff.
Training and Education:
- Conduct staff training sessions for Med Aides, Personal Care Assistants, and other essential training as required.
- Conduct competency assessments per regulatory guidelines.
- Offer support and skill checks to assure competency of personal care staff.
- Deliver additional training and in-services relevant to resident care within the scope of practice
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of North Carolina.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in conducting resident assessments
- Ability to conduct training sessions and validate staff competencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
