Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Floor Nurse (RN) to join our team at The Berkeley. The Floor Nurse plays a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Key Responsibilities:
Resident Care:
- Provide direct nursing care to residents based on their individual care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor residents' vital signs and assess their overall health regularly.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Document and maintain accurate records of residents' conditions and care provided.
Health Assessments:
- Conduct health assessments and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update care plans.
- Identify any changes in residents' health and report concerns to the Director of Nursing.
- Implement and adjust care plans as necessary to meet residents' changing needs.
Family Communication:
- Communicate effectively with residents' families, providing updates on their loved ones' health and well-being.
- Address any questions or concerns from residents and their families with empathy and professionalism.
Safety and Infection Control:
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control practices to maintain a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
- Participate in emergency response and evacuation procedures as required.
Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including Certified Nursing Assistants, physicians, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing assistants as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid state nursing license (RN or LPN, as required by state regulations).
- Experience in long-term care or senior living preferred but not required.
- Strong clinical and assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing senior living communities is a plus.
