What does the job involve?

Must have customer service skills with aerospace and manufacturing experience.

The AE Systems Lead works with Senior Manager of Customer Account Management, to coordinate the daily work assignments for the Customer Service Department, reviews backlog and projects monthly revenue while maintaining 99.8% on-time delivery to customers. The AE Systems Lead must continuously look for areas to mainstream data entry and improve time management. The AE Systems Lead will work with programmers to improve current reports, as well as develop new reports, reduce repetitive data entry and customer status. This position incorporates three equally divided areas of responsibility, while always placing the customers’ needs first. These responsibilities include JSF, systems and tools to reduce data entry, and process improvements/cross training and core goals for the A Department.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Ensure STEICO is shipping parts on time to customer’s requirements. The shipping criteria is tracked and measured on company monthly objectives. Review customer’s delivery rating monthly to look for areas of improvement. Support activities to ensure shipping compliance with a 99.2% year-end goal.
  • Review with Sr. Manager monthly revenue goals and backlog. Verify numbers and WIP support monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. Forecast and budget are posted monthly. AE Systems Lead and Sr. Manager will meet with the Customer Service Department to review backlog report, confirm alignment with goals, and review min/max forecasted numbers. Metrics will be managed weekly and reported every Monday by 1PM to Senior Management for tracking and recording of financials.
  • Work with AE min/max delivery team to develop production waves to better manage projected monthly forecasted revenue. Management should be able to cross-reference by part number dollar to wave per month. The AE Systems lead will create a metric to track part number to dollar within the next 1-3 months, tested and in use within the next 4-6 months. The metric information will be reviewed quarterly with Senior Management as a program wellness check.
  • Ensure monthly backlog numbers provided to management are accurate and support customer’s need. Ensure current tools and reports are capturing the correct data from the customer’s downloads, STEICO stock on hand, and WIP to confirm STEICO is supporting true customer needs, as well as managing projected backlog. These tools must ensure there are no surprises to the customer’s production timelines. Reports will be reviewed quarterly with Senior Management as a program wellness check.
  • Ensure monthly min/max forecast numbers being provided to management are accurate. The same metric tools used in the above items needs to be used to ensure the dollars applied in the monthly bucket will meet the projected completion date to align with the monthly bucket. Provide accurate recording and tracking of jobs running in the shop to support this revenue. This information will be reviewed weekly in a monthly bucket when providing min/max numbers (by jobs in excel as currently done) for weekly Key Indicators Meeting. This information will be reviewed through the wave projects and as part of the quarterly program wellness check.
  • Ensure manufacturing timelines are complete and coordinated with production, procurement and any other department required to keep the customer’s needs and commitments on track. Keep Senior Management informed of positive or negative opportunities and/or roadblocks. Required to run and review weekly status reports and/or KPI reports, as well and reviewing the backlog trackers with the Delivery Team.
  • Work with Sr. Manager to develop smaller break out cross training sessions. Help to define scope of work for Order and Delivery Teams. Meet monthly with Sr. Manager to outline and define department goals. Decide if this will require department or small group training, or process improvement. Develop a timeline to complete this requirement.
  • Collaborate with programmers to improve and/or develop current KPI reports to better manage min/max jobs, waves, reschedule reports and daily status of customers Open Order Report, backlog and expected completion dates. A task list will be created where each requirement will be defined, given a priority rating, expected completion date and tracked to ensure project stays on track. The task list will be stored on the F Drive and reviewed monthly ensuring the task list is managed accordingly.
  • Serve as the Sr. Manager’s delegate when out of the office.
  • Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate

What key skills and experience do I need? * Three years of Account Executive experience.

  • Three years of positive past experiences coordinating accounts in the Aerospace and or manufacturing industry

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Some college courses is preferred
