The Staffing Specialist focuses on searching for qualified talent for a variety of roles at Sensata Technologies. You will be responsible for building pipelines of talent, and developing innovative strategies for attracting candidates through networking, cold calling, internet searches, and research. You will partner with other recruiting team members to align qualified candidates with appropriate positions.
General Responsibilities • Build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates to deliver against immediate priorities, future needs, and business critical positions that are routinely filled throughout the year • Partner with recruiters to generate ideas, leverage resources and share information that facilitates an effective search process • Cultivate ongoing relationships with targeted/key candidates and specific talent pools and maintain those relationships with an ongoing focus • Screen candidates for availability, interest level, salary, relocation needs and basic qualifications to forward viable candidates to Talent Acquisition Specialists • Report on/maintain data around activity, market place trends and produce quality information for presentation to hiring managers to demonstrate position value and cost savings to the company • Work with various functional areas by understanding hiring needs, position specifications and search • Update job postings through various career portals • Willingness to tap into established networks to increase visibility • Partner with the Corporate Communications team to expand social networking platforms as recruiting tool • When necessary, screen appropriate candidates to determine their candidacy for open positions • Assist in branding Sensata as an employer of choice Experience / Qualifications • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) with at least 2 or more years of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience of at least 6 or more years. • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
• Lead and execute an intern program that provides a meaningful experience. This includes performance management, professional development, leadership roundtables and networking sessions, manager and mentor engagement • Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies and a thorough understanding of job requirements • Design & implement divisional recruiting strategy to attract a strong and diverse pipeline of campus talent that aligns to business goals • Travel during Fall and Spring recruitment seasons could be up to 25% of the time
