The .Net Software Engineer is a creative, detail oriented, motivated team player who builds upon the state of the art in computer science to design, code, and test next generation Battery Management Systems (BMS) - General Responsibilities • Handles the development of end-user tools for data analysis, reporting and work flow processes with database communication • Analyzes the existing software and improving the processes • Key contact for the Design and Test Lab departments, and handles requirements of new functionality • Handles the integration of in-house software for our test equipment • Taking part in on-site software debugging, machines further adaptation and optimization Experience / Qualifications • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) with at least 5 or more years of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience of at least 9 or more years. • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers - Other Duties and Responsibilities: Define, manage and test functional requirements for BMS software Develop and test software modules responsible for the management of communication channels between the BMS components and an external integrator Develop and test user interfaces for engineering, service, and customers Participate as part of a cross functional team in Design Failure Mode Effects (and Criticality) Analyses, Root Cause Investigations, Functional Safety, and similar processes. Support customer integration and service activities via teleconference and in person. Support system level integration testing of battery systems. Support development of and comply with coding standards. Support software development tools such and integrated development environments, the source control repository, and the issue tracking system. C# programming language and .Net development environment Implementation and utilize web services Design of modular software Knowledge of Windows Embedded is a plus Knowledge of J1939, CAN or Modbus protocols is a plus Unit tests and the implementation of automated software testing Working with version control and continuous integration Supports ISO 9001:2008 / AS9100 quality system Other Required Experience: 5-10 years of experience in .Net development required 5-10 years of experience in BMS development preferred Experience with safety critical software development processes Experience with requirements driven software design and implementation Experience with automated software testing and continuous integration Experience working with issue tracking systems preferred Experience working in agile environment preferred Experience with iterative and test-driven development Travel Requirements: Minimal, intermittent domestic and international travel occasionally for extended durations not expected to exceed 25% of the time.
