What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payment Poster position at SENTA Partners?
POSITION SUMMARY
The Payment Poster is responsible for overseeing the intake of payments processing, billing statements, and conducting audits each billing cycle under the supervision of the manager of revenue cycle.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Post patient payments via mail or lockbox
- Post payments received electronically
- Resolve all edits, paper and virtual credit cards
- Reconcile balances including insurance and patient credits
- Identify takeback and adjustments within a current EOB or notification of a future recoupment
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in physicians’ office and ASC billing setting
- Epic and Nextgen EMR experience preferred
- Understanding of Explanation of Benefits, Reason Codes, payments, adjustments, and denials is required
- Experience with EFTs and ERAs required
- Previous experience with billing and collections helpful

- Medical Billers & Coders: 1 year (Preferred)
