What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ambulatory Practice Management Consultant position at Sentara?
In partnership with Sentara Revenue Cycle, IT, Epic, Performance Improvement and other support teams, Practice Management Consultants provide business operations and system subject matter expertise on clerical, registration, and operational workflows to facilitate standardization, development, and documentation of best practices. Practice Support is responsible for the creation and maintenance of operational procedures and policies. Practice Management Consultants then partner with leadership to deploy these resources in our practices.
Practice Management Consultants also provide operational support for project work to include implementation of new workflows and operational initiatives, opening of new clinics, management of the process for acquisitions, and the launch of third-party vendor solutions.
Bachelor's level degree preferred. Certified Medical Office Manager preferred.
Requires two (2) years of experience with Epic systems and workflows.
Three (3) years of experience in practice management is preferred.
