Sentara Healthcare is currently seeking a full-time hybrid Request for Proposal Consultant for Sentara Health Plans Virginia Beach.
This position is Hybrid in Virginia Hampton Roads area
Job Description Summary
This position is on the RFP / Proposal Team. This individual will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of quality, compelling Medicaid proposals including pre-submission and post-submission processes in collaboration with leadership, stakeholders, and subject matter experts throughout the organization as well as with outside consultants.
This individual will focus on representing the health plan through an understanding of the company's mission and vision, community presence, strategic objectives, core products and services, and continuous advancements.
In addition to the skills in the job listing, the ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience leading Medicaid RFP responses / proposals from start to finish;
be a proven project manager, critical thinker, writer, and editor; be detail-oriented, resourceful, and collaborative; and thrive under strict deadlines.
Candidates must be willing and able to travel to Virginia Beach at our corporate office for several days at a time for in-person meetings.
Required Education :
Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration / Management, Marketing, Mass Communications, Public Relations, or English
Job Requirements :
Required : 5 years of Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Communications or related field
Required : Healthcare experience - 1 Year
Required : Proposal experience
Preferred : 5 years of print and Web graphics

Job Summary
Ensures that Sentara Health Plans communicates with its customers effectively and accurately. The individual is responsible for writing (technical and creative), proofing, editing, and approving all printed and electronic communications prior to distribution to key audiences.
5 years of Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Communications or related field required. Experience working with Medicaid programs is required.
