What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Business Systems Analyst position at SENTINEL HEALTH SERVICES?
IT Business Systems Analysts perform duties related to the implementation, management, maintenance, enhancement, support, and decommission of critical software systems, whether purchased through a vendor or developed internally. Business Systems Analysts consult with stakeholders to gather and define requirements; configure and implement new systems and/or enhance existing systems; write and execute test plans; troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues; deliver training and guidance to end users and system/service owners; develop and maintain system documentation; prepare robust reports to enhance strategic business decisions.
- Examine current and new business procedures.
- Identify effective solutions for business software system issues.
- Report common patterns, questions, and other issues to management.
- Recommend solutions for improving and restructuring company procedures.
- Assess company performance, information, and plans by conducting regular tests and analysis.
- Monitor company systems status and report any progress or changes.
- Research and estimate the costs of upgrades and improvements.
- Establish specifications for new projects by developing project goals, phases, and budgets.
- Provide functional support to Tier 1 and Tier 2 as needed.
- May collaborate with various subject-matter experts to assess solution needs and identify desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with vendor partners as needed, work with vendors on bug fixes.
- Maintain familiarity with installed software standards and procedures and evaluate other tools to determine appropriate fit.
- May design and edit application workflows to enhance business processes.
- Contribute to the modification and configuration of systems to meet business needs and stakeholder requirements.
- Consult with users to identify business needs and requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues.
- Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), rules, personnel policies and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms.
- Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures.
- Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.
- Ensures clients’ rights are protected.
