SentinelOne is seeking a Vice President, Finance, who is a proven professional with experience leading the core operational aspects of our finance. This leader will report to the CFO and will drive strategic business partnership with finance and executive leaders, ensuring world class planning process and operational rigor. This role will require a strong understanding of our mission as well as business priorities across product lines and partner closely with leaders to help create the vision, strategies, priorities, models and forecasts for our finance team and the company overall. This includes ensuring the integrity of financial operations, and financial reporting by providing outstanding leadership and critical thinking with an ability to extend beyond just the world of finance, and to help recruit, build and manage a world class organization in a rapidly changing and growing environment.

What will you do?

  • Serve as a strategic financial business partner to the CEO, CFO, Head of Investor Relations and the Executive Management team to help make sound business decisions and partner closely with leaders to help create and advance the vision, strategies, and priorities for long-term sustainable growth. Advise and drive performance across the entire business in areas of top line growth and operating leverage
  • Lead, grow, empower and inspire a team of seasoned finance professionals, and work across the broader finance team to enable and deliver on strategic and financial goals
  • Be responsible for corporate finance operations, short-term and long-term budgeting, forecasting and modeling appropriate financial targets by collaborating at all levels of the organization, M&A finance and weekly forecast updates to the CEO
  • Provide robust management reporting to the CFO and executive leadership team, and ongoing and timely financial analysis and modeling to a range of company leaders in support of key business decisions, company operations, sales and product results
  • Instill a performance culture resulting in meaningful cross functional collaboration with Accounting, Go-to-Market, Business Development, Sales Operations, Legal, IT and internal and independent auditors, and own business process transformation and automation to increase efficiency and effectiveness to meet the needs of a high growth business in multiple locations.
  • Build strong relationships across the broader leadership team to influence decision making in the business
  • Drive and assist in the quarterly board earnings process and preparation for public company reporting. Manage Board and Audit Committee presentations, providing strategic insights and finance analytics
  • Manage internal forecasts versus analyst ranges and consensus
  • Drive financial strategy and analysis, providing strategic leadership and support on issues ranging from partnerships, investment strategies, acquisitions, synergies, capital projects, and short/long-term financial planning, as well as a roadmap for accomplishing goals. Identify opportunities for improving fiscal performance for the organization
  • Provide business partnering and decision support by evaluating the benefits and risks of M&A activity, potential business decisions, complex deals and new product launches
  • Implement effective financial forecasting and management systems and ensure continuous improvement in our reporting and forecasting
  • Partner with the CAO and CFO with ad hoc projects and analysis, as required
  • Be open to the opportunity to expand the scope of role

Who are we looking for?

  • 12 years of finance leadership experience in a fast-paced technology software or services industry, partnering with officers and executives on financial planning and strategy development and execution, including direct experience interacting with boards and board committees. SaaS company background a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree, with an emphasis in accounting, finance or a related field, MBA and/or Banking experience a plus
  • Deep subject matter expertise in corporate finance and FP&A; having led the corporate FP&A function for an organization of comparable size, growth profile and complexity
  • Strong collaborator and partner with demonstrated ability to drive cross functional collaboration across business and finance teams at all levels
  • Proven track record in successfully supporting growth using strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to streamline and simplify complexity
  • High level of energy and ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic business environments
  • Track record of building, leading, and inspiring high-performing teams with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, using a collaborative management style and a willingness to dig into details in a public company environment
  • Merger & acquisition and integration experience
  • Be adept at prioritization, responsiveness and understanding a sense of urgency with the ability to balance multiple projects
  • Strong attention to detail, systems development and organizational management
  • Advanced spreadsheet modeling prowess
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent judgment with a strong work ethic
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion and a belief that diverse teams bring better business and customer outcomes
  • Depending on the candidate's location, must have periodic flexibility to travel, as needed
