The Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing, organizing, and managing the Company’s legal contract and subcontract documents.
Essential Duties:
- Oversees, organizes, and manages the Company’s contracts and subcontracts.
- Prepares contract and subcontract documents for review and execution, including required flow-down clauses.
- Analyzes contract/subcontract terms and conditions to ensure they comply with state and federal laws and regulations and comply with Company policies.
- Evaluates and monitors contract performance to determine the need for amendments or contract/subcontract extensions, as well as compliance with contractual obligations and all contract terms and conditions.
- Analyzes and approves/rejects internal and/or client/subcontract or requests for contract amendments or change orders and delivery schedules.
- Collaborates with the legal counsel as appropriate in the development, review, and execution of contract and subcontract documents with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Administers change control procedures for contractual documents as required.
- Serves as a primary liaison with Government Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists, or other Government or commercial contracting representatives to ensure compliance with contract specifications and resolution of problems/issues.
- Organizes, labels, indexes, files, and archives contract documents in an electronic format. Maintains an efficient recordkeeping system that enables fast and easy access to documents.
- Retrieves documents upon request.
- Converts documents to specified electronic formats as required.
- Ensures that the Company’s contract records and files are up to date.
- Tracks contract expiration dates and notifies senior management as required.
- Prepares Confidentiality Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements, and Representations and Certifications as needed.
- Maintains the Company’s SAM.gov registration, updating as needed, but no less than annually.
- Maintains the Company’s GSA IT Schedule 70 contract.
- Assembles required data and completes quarterly reporting for the Company’s GSA IT Schedule 70 contract.
- Assembles required data required for audits of the Company’s GSA IT Schedule 70 contract and participates in audits conducted by GSA.
- Participates in meetings and conference calls as required.
Requirements:
The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job and/or five years of prior experience in a contract administration role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, with proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and contract management software.
Must be skilled in using a PC and other administrative technologies.
This position requires:
- Knowledge and understanding of contract law and contract terminology.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact with multiple personality types and all levels of management.
- Able to work independently and/or as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple efforts concurrently.
- Experience in government contracting, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), a plus.
