From product 101 to application techniques to artistry and trend, the design team within the department creates the training solutions that drives the training strategy and provides the tools for our store employees to be the most knowledgeable in the industry.
Your role at Sephora:
As a Visual Designer, in this unique role…you will support the Sephora Retail Engagement and Optimization team by designing dynamic print and digital training tools for desktop and mobile devices that maximizes learner retention and delivers the brand experience. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Creative Production, you will partner in planning, managing and delivering graphic deliverables from concept through execution; adhering to all standards and design best practices. In addition, you will:
- Design and develop department needs across mediums including, but not limited to: digital participant and facilitator guides, job aids, eLearning modules, video/vyond content, interactive PDF’s, print collateral, PowerPoint training presentations and microsites
- Work with an Instructional Designer, eLearning Developer and Subject Matter Experts to develop use cases and requirements for desktop and mobile builds
- Quickly, yet thoroughly, create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors with the learning management system and other UI/UX interfaces in mind
- Present and defend design recommendations to partners, stakeholders, and senior leadership for review, feedback, and approval
- Develop and maintain detailed user-interface and interaction specifications
- Work cross-functionally to gather necessary assets and catalogue in an organized fashion
- Develop and implement design standards and style guides throughout all phases of development and production, using solid understanding of typography, graphic design and digital design; partner with Internal Branding to ensure all assets adhere to brand guidelines
- Collaborate with Store Experience & Business Operation and cross-functional teams to understand business needs/project requirements and design thoughtful engaging solutions with measurable impact
- Establish and maintain strong and efficient relationships with business partners (SMEs, PMs, stakeholders, CPT)
- Manage and execute projects on time, on budget, with the highest quality standards and keep manager and project team informed on progress of assignments
- Desire and ability to collaborate & provide concise feedback and direction to other members of the design team

We’re excited about you if you have:
- 3-5 years of digital/print/visual/UI/UX design or similar experience
- Full and technical understanding of design fundamentals, Adobe CS for print and digital (XD), Acrobat, Mac OS, and working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Sketch & FIGMA a plus
- A basic understanding of:
- Web UI/ UX standards
- Responsive / mobile design frameworks
- Basic structure and editing HTML, CSS, Java script knowledge a plus
- Experience developing simple and impactful graphics, tools and interactive elements to communicate complex messages
- Strong relationship-building and organizational skills; ability to juggle priorities, work with people in various disciplines, and detail oriented
- Strategic thinker and solutions-orientated partner; able to prioritize and manage work through process
- Remains calm under pressure—responds positively to rapidly changing circumstances
- Demonstrates integrity, maturity and a constructive approach to challenges and negotiating with others
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while paying strict attention to detail
- Team player who is comfortable receiving feedback and creative critique
- Understanding of digital trends, best practices, current fashion and beauty trends, environmental graphics and production process
- The drive to excel and succeed in a very fast paced environment, juggle priorities, and meet tight deadlines

The annual base salary range for this position is $97,515.00 - $108,585.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
