The Facilities Manager at Serán is critical to orchestrating routine maintenance, scheduled upgrades, and construction projects with limited disruption to business operations or production. The Facilities Manager leads a collaborative team comprised of facilities technicians with diverse skillsets. The primary responsibility of this position will be to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders and outside vendors to efficiently manage projects of various scale. \n- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new Facilities Technician staff
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department
- Improves team performance through coaching, feedback, mentoring, and teambuilding
- Entrusts and motivates direct reports by providing direction and facilitates skill building
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Monitors to ensure that all employees comply with safety regulations.
- Reviews and approves regulatory tasks assigned to Facilities Department
- Maintains day-to-day operations of all Serán facilities
- Manages facility service requests by delegating or completing
- Monitors the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
- Performs routine maintenance on facilities and makes repairs as needed
- Schedules routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
- Ensures proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors
- Reports on maintenance, compliance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
- Establishes relevant KPIs, tracks, and trends progress including monthly written reports.
- Oversees and manages multiple areas and shifts within the facility
- Responds to facility emergencies on 24 hour 7 days a week schedule
- Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors, contractors, and landlords
- Continuously updates and improves efficiency and response time to minimize production downtime
- Participates in the preparation and administration of the facility maintenance budget; submits budget recommendations; monitors expenditures; prepares cost estimates; submits justifications for equipment; and monitors budget expenditures
- Performs Project Management oversight, directly manages contractors and consultants, budgets development and tracking, quality assurance oversight and project expense control
- Manages special events
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team members
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Understands budgets, bid proposals, contract evaluation, and basic accounting principles
- Demonstrates the ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations
- Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret internal procedures, mechanical drawings, electrical one-lines, logic drawings, and technical manuals
- Ability to solve practical problems, clearly communicate tasks and needs, and training of other personnel
- Analyzes and interprets data to make sound professional judgments and recommendations
- Ability to manage and motivate team members
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Proficient with repair tools and techniques
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 of relevant facilities experience required
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant management experience preferred
- Physically able to work throughout facilities
- Prolonged periods of time standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders
- Required to work in settings with extreme cold or heat at various times of year
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must have and maintain valid Oregon Driver’s license (ODL), or obtain ODL within 30 days
- Must carry and maintain personal vehicle insurance
