Serenata Beach Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Bartender. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to our members and their guests.
The Bartender is integral to the guest experience and provides beverage services (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to the guests of the property. The Bartender will service beverages at the facility and provide a high quality service-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Bartender:
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Maintains a supply of all bar products/supplies, including all glassware, expendable paper and other supplies.
- Maintains the sanitation and cleanliness of the bar area(s), glassware, and equipment
- Assures that all laws applicable to beverage operations are consistently followed
- Collects payment for drinks served
- Greets and provides immediate attention to guests
- Learn the names of regulars and personally recognize them
- Monitor guest experience and take appropriate action to assure the best customer service.
- Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies and inventory are available
- Prepares garnishes, mixes, and pre-mixed drinks
- Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned
- Adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies including confirming legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated guests
- Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements:
- 1-2 years of bartending experience
- Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law.
- Working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes
- Must have strong customer/guest orientation
- Organized, able to work well in fast paced environment
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be dependable
Minimum Qualifications for the Bartender:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of bartending experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol.
Other Qualifications:
- Possesses knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties.
- Alcohol Awareness Training.
