What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Guard position at Serrato Corporation?
Duties may include the following:

Functions of the role:
- The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our students, staff and visitors by actively monitoring the property, including patrolling all areas of the center.
- The Security Officer help maintain order while enforcing regulations and directives for our students, staff and visitors.
- We provide customer service and a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors. We promote good public and staff relations and leadership to less experienced officers.
- Patrols assigned areas for the presence of unauthorized persons or potential sources of misconduct, and maintains clear, appropriate and continuous radio contact with shift supervisor and other officers on the ground.
- Maintains general order of the local environment and intervenes in disturbances in a calm and efficient manner guided by courtesy, established rules and regulations.
- Maintains and secure the facility by ensuring doors are locked as required. Unlocks facilities upon receiving proper authorization.
- Provides accurate and concise written and oral reports, briefings, or summaries to appropriate staff to include false fire alarms, safety hazards and general information, observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures consistent with internal processes. Receives complaints and performs appropriate investigations as directed by management. Provides transportation service as needed or assigned.
- Assists in maintaining student security and accountability during training, day and evening, by continuously walking through those areas where students are being trained, having lunch, participating in dorm activities, recreational activities, and monitors grounds over entire Center.
- Aids and assists visitors, student employees and staff in every way possible.

Qualifications and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree preferred. Background in youth programs or law enforcement is preferred. Valid State Driver’s License.
