Accountant III
We are currently looking to add an Accountant III to our team. This is a new position as we continue to grow. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and serve as the liaison to our operations and functional teams.
What you'll do:
Manage intercompany accounts:- Review process and make improvements where needed to ensure I/C tie out each month.
- Improve Workday I/C processes and ensure all automatic entries zero out.
Coordinate closing activities and implement best practices with BlackLine.- Build out task list and activities in BlackLine.
- Move monthly account recs to BlackLine.
- Assist accounting department in increasing automation features within Workday.
- Work closely with Workday administrator to create efficiencies.
- Perform senior accounting duties and assist Accounting Manager with high-level projects.
- Work on process improvement and streamline the process to drive higher levels of value add.
- Partner with the Vice President of Finance on special projects.
- Help formulate integration strategies for legacy ERP systems and any new acquisitions.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Manage outside resources when needed.
- Help coordinate audit activities, work with auditors at EY and manage requests across internal resources.
- Work with Treasurer to help gather and prepare compliance-related needs.
Job Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred- 4 - 10years of related work history or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Financial presentation experience
- Ability to work collaboratively cross-functionally contributing to team success
- Able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently
- Detail-oriented, highly motivated with a strong work ethic and quality orientation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to analyze accounts, identify variances and unusual trends, and interpret results
- Understanding of business processes and impact of such processes on accounting processes/procedures, including identifying control risks
- Technical/professional knowledge and skills
- Adaptability applied to learn and initiate action
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Proficient in Office; utilization of JOE and Cognos preferred
- History of planning and managing multiple projects
