Job Description
What you get to do in this role
- Oversee and execute the long-term operational vision and strategy of Employee Relations. Proactively partner with HRBPs, People Partners, Legal, DEI, and our People Leaders to create a workplace environment where our employees can thrive. Nurture a culture free of retaliation and a place where people can openly raise their concerns and issues.
- Act as the senior-most ER leader on complex issues that require resolution and/or escalation. Partner with the relevant stakeholders to review People related cases, provide performance management and employee action coaching and advice to managers and stakeholders.
- Accountable for the effective management of our Employee Relations team including monitoring team member’s workload and performance, ensuring proper assignment of cases and workload balancing to deliver against targeted Service Levels.
- Leverage our own Now Platform to ensure cases are documented, tracked and reported upon to ensure the timely completion of investigations and other employee matters.
- Provide ER trends, data and analysis to our Global People and Legal teams to ensure we are continuously investing in the right skills and capabilities for our People Leaders globally.
- Create a culture of belonging through coaching and feedback in alignment with the Company's values.
- Build and foster a confidential and sensitive work environment.
- Stay current on global / regional employment practices. Maintain a strong working knowledge of best practices.
- Ensure continuous improvement of all ER processes.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- Experience in direct client support and performance management coaching experience as well as team development/management
- Experience supporting HR and/or Legal functions a plus
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including problem solving, collaboration and relationship building
- Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment and work independently in an ambiguous, high growth, fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple complex issues and prioritize projects concurrently
- Ability to excel at all levels of the HR “stack” - strategic, operational, and tactical
- Credibility and integrity in communications to ensure information flows both upward and downward
- Confidence to challenge respectfully to influence business decisions
- Experience handling People related cases and conducting workplace investigations
- JD, equivalent international legal degree or equivalent legal experience preferred
- Global experience preferred

A required in office work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office. This persona is required to work from their assigned workplace location 100% of the work week based on the business needs of their role.
Flexible
A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
Remote
A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
