JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Director of Manufacturing, the Machine Shop Administrator is responsible for clerical support of the Machine Shop and various projects as needed in collaboration with the Machine Shop Technical Lead.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Office and Administrative Support with record keeping, filing, documenting employee performance and conduct, purchases, and maintenance requests
- Process and System Support within IQMS - time and attendance times, labor collection, requisition submittal, and within Paychex - PTO approvals
- Cycle Count reporting
- Order and track tools and supplies needed for the Machine Shop
- Schedule and follow-up with work assignments and machine maintenance
- Interface with Shop floor workers and cross-departmental employees
- Establish policy knowledge of our products, understand the product realization timelines, anticipate needs, and follow through to resolution
- Identify ways of improvement – continuous improvement projects to support the Machine Shop
- Maintaining Machine Shop metrics
- Maintain and update TPM sheets as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma and 5 years experience preferred
- Associates/Bachelors and 1 years experience preferred
- Minimum 1 years of MRP/ERP experience preferred
- IQMS and Paychex knowledge preferred
- Must have Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Organization - ability to comprehend and envision how processes, people, transactions and records all work together - being able to see the whole picture - how everything needs to work together to complete a project, or organize an office, or manage a group to improve a situation, a setting, or a project – attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Positive and professional attitude
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person, over the telephone, and on the production floor.
Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone, and on the production floor.
Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of manufactured parts and reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
Other: Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds unassisted, including assisting co-workers when required. Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity to perform the requisite manufacturing duties. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
