Job description

School Social Worker - responsible for a case load of up to 25 students, working with them in individual and small group sessions, teaching social skills curriculum, and teaching self regulation skills.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

· Support and guide the therapeutic environment for students with social, emotional & behavioral challenges

· Provide individual and/or group counseling

· Serve as member of multi-disciplinary team

· Support program behavior management & crisis intervention response

· Collaborates with teachers and team to increase academic engagement & implement IEP

· Refers students and families when appropriate with outside agencies to meet their needs.

· Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Must be a licensed social worker or eligibile for LMSW.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must understand that all children can learn. Must have demonstrated ability to communicate with students, families and school personnel. Excellent time management, organizational, verbal and written communications skills are essential. Must demonstrate positive and enthusiastic attitude toward internal and external customers. Must be flexible. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. Must be available to work during the summer months.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs. Most programs are in school settings.

The Company provides all classroom and instructional materials as well prepared lesson plans and paid training. Continued instructional and leadership support for all employees is also provided

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
