Embedded Systems Engineer

What You Would Do:

• Develop and integrate sensors, micro-controllers, and other integrated device systems in support of Sestra’s multi-generational products 
• Facilitate organizational understanding and provide consultation on sensors and programmable chip sets
• Evaluate, prototype, and implement third-party parts and services as applicable to business and technical objectives
• Provide technology direction and recommendations to the product roadmap
•  Work autonomously and within a team of internal and external contractors and partners for on-time delivery of quality code, utilizing agile methodologies
• Contribute to project documentation and best practices process and improvement 

Qualities We Look For:

• Minimally, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field and 5 years of direct experience in embedded systems development or demonstrable equivalent 
• Strong C/C development knowledge 
• Experience with FreeRTOS/Bare Metal and multi-threaded architecture including timing analysis and profiling
• Familiarity with 
• ARM Cortex-M4 processors
• Texas Instruments micro-controllers e.g., Tiva, C2000
• Linux OS and Device Drivers
• RS232/CAN bus architecture 
• Experience with analog-to-digital converters 
• Excellent communication and intuition skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
